Teach’n Go (Ireland) has the smoothest self-service funnel in the niche — trial straight into the app, from €69 per month — and the strongest independent review base (Capterra 4.7 with 83 reviews as of 08/2026). It is a general school-management tool: what it does not advertise is the international layer — host families, visas, agent commissions.

4. SchoolMate — the budget option in the EU
SchoolMate (Madrid) is a modular system for local language schools with an unusually aggressive price: the full module set costs roughly €75 per month for a school with up to 50 active students (per their public calculator), billed by active students with no contract, and there is a 30-day self-service trial. The limits are the mirror image: the model is capped at 1,000 students, and agency, junior-programme and group-travel depth is not part of the product.

Butlerapp is the strongest German vendor in the local segment: a course and booking management system aimed squarely at the German market, with ISO 27001, GoBD and e-invoicing badges and the densest review presence in the DACH region. 6. eBECAS / EDMISS — the Australia specialist
eBECAS has served international colleges in Australia and New Zealand since 1986 and does something nobody else here does: government compliance reporting (CRICOS/PRISMS). Pricing is partially public (A$93–105 per user/month plus A$2,000 setup, as of 08/2026). Outside AU/NZ its focus becomes its limit.

7. Elsieapp — the UK niche veteran
Elsieapp (UK, since 2007) covers the international-school workflow — accommodation, agents, portals — with a radically simple price: £65 + VAT per admin account per month, everything included. It advertises automated British Council and English UK QUIC reporting, which no one else on this list names. Worth knowing: the public release notes and blog end in 2019, and there is no visible presence outside the UK.

8. Demiks — the free starting point
Demiks (Canada, 2017) offers a free tier and a one-field signup — the lowest-friction way to move a very small school off spreadsheets. It is a young product with a small public footprint (two reviews at the time of writing), and the international layer (accommodation, agents) is not its territory.
Best for: very small schools taking their first step away from Excel.
