If you are shopping for language school management software, you will find plenty of feature lists — and very few reliable prices. This report collects the publicly available pricing data of ten systems in the category in one place: model, entry price, full build-out and currency. The obvious disclosure first: we build one of these systems (Fidelo appears as its own row in the table, not above it). Every figure comes from the vendor’s public pricing page or calculator, as of August 2026; where only secondary sources exist, that is stated. If something is out of date, tell us — we will correct it.
Key findings
- 3 out of 10 vendors publish no directly readable price on their own website: Class Systems names no prices at all (“detailed quote”), while Agentcis and Demiks render their prices only via JavaScript — invisible to anything without a browser, including many AI assistants and comparison tools. (As of 08/2026)
- Only 3 out of 10 vendors offer a genuine self-service trial (Teach’n Go 14 days, Agentcis 7 days, Demiks free tier); at two more, the “Free Trial” button leads to a contact form or into a trial contract with a questionnaire. (As of 08/2026)
- The price ranges are enormous: user-based models start at €20 per admin user per month (Fidelo) and go up to AUD 105 plus an AUD 2,000 setup fee (eBECAS); student-based models range from €30 per month (SchoolMate, base plan up to 50 students) to $1,320 per month (Selmasis Professional). (As of 08/2026)
Methodology
All prices were collected on 7 August 2026 from the vendors’ public pricing pages and calculators. Where a pricing page renders its numbers only client-side via JavaScript (Agentcis, Demiks, parts of SchoolMate and Teach’n Go), raw fetches and secondary sources (SoftwareSuggest, GetApp) were used — such values are marked below. Fidelo’s figures come from our own public pricing page.
Being honest about what could not be compared:
- Class Systems is entirely quote-only. A pricing calculator exists, but the link to it is only sent by the sales team after an enquiry. The only public indications are secondary sources: Capterra UK lists “from £2,000 per concurrent user” (annual subscription), SourceForge “$3,000 per year” — neither confirmed by the vendor.
- Teach’n Go publicly shows only the entry tier (€69/month up to 100 students); the tiers above render only via JavaScript. An older GetApp record lists up to $219/month for 1,000 students.
- SchoolMate caps its model at 1,000 active students (beyond that: custom pricing), Agentcis points to bulk pricing above 20 users, and Selmasis has an Enterprise tier “on request” — these upper ends remain unpriced.
- eBECAS quotes its prices “based on 30 users” — the per-seat price varies with user count.

Analysis 1: Two pricing logics — per user or per student
The category splits into two camps. Five vendors charge per (admin) user — Fidelo, eBECAS, Elsieapp, Agentcis and Class Systems — but only three of them publish the price (Fidelo €20, Elsieapp £65 + VAT, eBECAS AUD 93–105; Agentcis only via a secondary source, Class not at all). In this model the school pays per admin seat and the student count does not matter.
The other camp charges by students or in flat-rate tiers: SchoolMate (€30–318/month depending on active students and modules), Teach’n Go (from €69/month up to 100 students), Selmasis ($164–1,320/month by student tier) and Demiks ($0–199.99/month in fixed plans). These models start cheaper in absolute terms but grow with the school — and two have hard caps: SchoolMate ends at 1,000 students, Teach’n Go at 2,000 (“custom”). Butlerapp combines both: flat-rate packages (€49–499) plus a revenue-based booking fee of 3% (small) or 2% (medium plan).
Analysis 2: Price transparency is the exception, not the rule
At 3 out of 10 vendors, not a single directly readable number appears on their own website (as of 08/2026): Class Systems publishes no prices at all, and while Agentcis and Demiks do have pricing pages, their numbers are generated exclusively client-side via JavaScript — a raw fetch of the Agentcis pricing page contains no amounts, and Demiks’ pricing page is a single-page app with no static content. The practical consequence: tools without JavaScript rendering — including many AI assistants that schools now use to research software — see nothing there; those prices are readable only via review portals.
Even among the transparent vendors there are gradations: SchoolMate and Teach’n Go show their entry price openly but keep the higher tiers inside a JavaScript calculator. Fully static, readable price tables across all tiers are rare in this field — among them eBECAS (per edition), Selmasis, Elsieapp, Butlerapp and Fidelo.
Analysis 3: Setup fees, extra costs, contracts
At 4 out of 10 vendors, setup or extra fees beyond the monthly price are documented (as of 08/2026):
- eBECAS: a one-off AUD 2,000 setup fee; plus add-ons — premium support at +10% of licence cost, sandbox AUD 199/month, online portals AUD 169/month (below 5 users); API access and Power BI integration only in the pricier Plus tier. It is also the only system in the field with stated annual contracts (“All our products use annual contracts”).
- Teach’n Go: one-off setup services between €75 and €500.
- Butlerapp: the revenue-based booking fee (3%/2%/individual) plus €0.09 per SMS.
- Class Systems: one-off setup, data import and training fees — amounts not public.
Worth noting on the other side: SchoolMate explicitly states that setup, import, training and support are free of charge, and requires no annual contract. Selmasis charges $3 per student above the included tier on its Swift plan — not a setup fee, but a variable line item to be aware of.
And Fidelo?
To put our own row in context, as soberly as the rest: Fidelo charges per admin user per month — from €20 (largest volume tier) to €95 (top package, smallest tier); students, teachers and agents are free and unlimited. All four packages and six volume tiers are public, calculator included, on the pricing page. That makes Fidelo the cheapest entry among the three user-based vendors with public prices — though for a very small school with a single admin, a student-based model like SchoolMate (from €30) can still be cheaper. What Fidelo does not offer: a self-service trial; the way in is a 30-minute demo. How the models compare in a specific case is what our comparison pages are for, e.g. Fidelo vs. SchoolMate and Fidelo vs. Teach’n Go.
